Convenor – Matthew Etty-Leal

Meet at Balwyn Baptist Church from 10am. At about 10.15 we will start walking west. There will be frequent stops at street corners when Matthew describes historical buildings, parks, events, activities, notable shops, schools and churches.

The walk is very flat along Whitehorse Road finishing at May Street. We often walk a short distance north or south of Whitehorse Road. The walk takes about 90 minutes – around two kilometres.

Matthew is President of the Balwyn Historical Society (BHS). We ask for a $5 donation per head (cash please) to purchase equipment for future walks, and incorporation expenses.

Lunch: Stranger Café (corner Cherry Road), formerly Balwyn Church of Christ built 1922.
