You’ll explore Chinese culture through film, develop practical travel phrases for adventures in China and Taiwan, and finish the year with delicious hands-on cooking sessions while learning how to order food and understand popular dishes with confidence.

Throughout the year you will cover:

• Term 1: Short conversations with the local Chinese community – learn how to engage with your neighbours, family and friends
• Term 2: Understanding Chinese culture through films – including The Last Emperor and Farewell My Concubine
• Term 3: Travelling to China and Taiwan – practical conversation skills for travel
• Term 4: Chinese cooking and dining etiquette – understanding dishes, hands on cooking
