“When the community centre started offering Mandarin Language, I took up this challenge. I have really enjoyed learning Mandarin. It gives me the opportunity to be able to converse in Mandarin with my mother back home in Malaysia. Whenever I talked to my mother over the phone and speak to her in Mandarin, she is always surprised and happy to hear that I can speak Mandarin now. Our teacher is always ready to help us and she has many wonderful ways to help us understand the language as well as the Chinese culture. We always have fun during our Mandarin Class as it is also very interactive between the students. I strongly encourage anyone to give it a go at the BCC.”
