Practising Mindfulness is an increasingly popular, evidence-based method for relieving stress and improving well-being. This workshop is a ‘taster’ for an upcoming 8-week course at the Centre. Get a head start and make the most of this opportunity! Learn the basics and start your journey to living a life stress-free.
Your teacher, Helen Ansell is a trained Mindfulness facilitator with a degree in botany. She is also a psychologist and qualified teacher. In this taster workshop, Helen guides participants through foundation theory and a series of effective exercises. Stress reduction is the goal while utilising a mindful approach. It is important that you arrive with an open mind and willingness to learn. At times, stress relief is not easy. But with focused work and practice at home, you will feel the benefits.
Stress relief and stress reduction is key to living a healthy and happy life. Mindfulness is a skill that you can learn and with time and practice you will see the benefits. Mindfulness can be described as paying attention to the present moment and doing it intentionally without judgement. Being mindful benefits our physical, emotional and psychological well-being, while reducing stress can improve many aspects of your everyday life. Apart from feeling better in your mind and body, it can improve your ability to get the most out of each day.
