Sourdough Breadmaking Workshop
Learn how to make sourdough at home. Taught by chef and culinary teacher, Sandy Bennett. Participants will learn step-by-step, have the opportunity to ask questions and receive take-home notes. Lunch will be provided, sourdough bread with cold meats, and salad followed by fruit sourdough with cheese. Each person will make and take home a starter.

The class will begin with a morning tea of sourdough scones and tea and coffee whilst I explain the science and history behind sourdough baking. We will then begin the hands on class where all participants will be given their own starter (to take home) and some levain to begin there own loaf of bread. We will cover feeding the starter, making the levain, folding, proving and baking. All participants will take a loaf home ready to bake.
Lunch will be provided, sourdough bread with cold meats, and salad followed by fruit sourdough with cheese.
Could all participants please bring a large mixing bowl, colander, tea towl and apron to the class.
