Practising Mindfulness is an increasingly popular, evidence-based method for relieving stress and improving wellbeing. Enjoy this opportunity to be in the present moment and to appreciate the beauty of nature by practising mindfulness outdoors. Your teacher, Helen Ansell is a trained Mindfulness facilitator with a degree in botany. She is also a qualified psychologist. In this workshop Helen guides participants in slow walking, silent sitting and sensory exploration. You will feel calm and connected to nature as you learn how to be mindful.
Mindfulness can be described as paying attention to the present moment and doing it intentionally without judgement. Being mindful benefits our physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. Specifically, it may reduce stress, increase focus, increase emotional intelligence, improve creativity and collaboration and leave us with a greater feeling of peace.
Stress relief and stress reduction is key to living a healthy and happy life. Mindfulness is a skill that you can learn and with time and practice you will see the benefits.
Garden Dwelling and Wonder Wander is held seasonally and is open to just 12 participants each season. The first workshop ‘Autumn Appreciation’ celebrates the balmy weather and beauty of Autumn. As you walk through the stunning Maranoa Gardens, you’ll use the falling leaves and browning trees to help you to learn mindfulness techniques. Following Autumn Appreciation you can attend Winter Wandering and Savouring Spring, held on the following dates:
