  • Health benefits of gardening
  • Tips for gardening safely
  • How to conserve energy and reduce risk of injury while gardening
  • Ideas for adaptive tools and where they can be purchased
  • Common issues with ageing and solutions to try

Written handouts will be provided with instructions, tips and further resources in the community for you to follow up on after the workshop, as well as supplier details for specialised tools and suppliers.

In the second part of the workshop you will trial a range of adaptive tools – all of which have been discussed in the first part of the workshop. These include (but are not limited to): secateurs, shovel, hand towels and an Ezy Kneel. A collaborative, in-action demonstration will take place and participants will have the opportunity to test the tools and tips in a small area of garden.
