Afterschool Art (Children 8-11)
Term 2 Tue 30 April 4.15pm – 5.45pm (9 sessions)
Art class designed for primary school aged children (8 – 11 years) in a small, friendly environment where they can learn to draw and paint in a variety of fun ways.

Is your child creative? Do they have a big imagination and love to learn new things? If so, they’ll love Afterschool Art!
Afterschool Art is a fantastic way to nurture your child’s talents and curiosity. In this 1.5 hour class they’ll learn new skills and explore different ways to express what they’re thinking. Class teacher Farimah, has many years experience teaching art to children. She will work one-on-one with your child to help them get the most out of class and to make art they’re proud to take home.
In class, students will be introduced to the use of a range of different media, to include:
– Mixed media
Your child will learn various techniques in each media through exercises, demonstrations and individual attention from the teacher. They’ll produce paintings and drawings of a variety of subjects, such as:
– Compositions and Still Life
– Imaginary subjects
Each week your child will be able to take home a piece of artwork. They’ll leave class feeling proud of what they’ve achieved and looking forward to next week!
